Keeps oozing into my dreams and stuff. I can't go to Pennsic this year and it sucks. It's starting really soon, and from what I can see, its supposed to be really nice out weatherwise. As compared to last year when it rained every day I was there. Poop. I'm trying not to think about it. I've been working on my dress. I've hand beaded almost the entire underskirt, and after that I am going to work on putting the fur on the sleeves. I want to rework the entire sleeve part. It's too wide I think. The upper sleeve I mean. I may just sew the fur pieces together, and pin them over the velvet I have there. That way I don't have to keep switching back and forth when I can just pin them on or off. Good idea me.
We'll see. I made my first french hood. It looks very good if I do say so myself. For never having made a hat before. I'm glad I picked an easy project. haha. It is a transitional hood. I thought it would look better on my head, and I think I'm right. It also looks better with my new hair cut I think, being that I just recently shaved most of my hair off. I made sure to keep enough in front so that I can still look normal in the Tudor or when I do the Jacksonian stuff. But yeah. My hood is a cereal box, wiring, and then it's covered in silk that I had left over. The veil is a satin, but I think it's artificial. I don't remember if I got it from Walmart or if I got it out of Newman's mom's stash drawer. I have visions of walmart, so it's probably fake. Poo. Oh well. Then I sewed a line of pearls to the front of it. It's a late fifteen twenties version. So it's nice. It hugs my head, but I put a little comb in anyways, just to keep it in place, and to keep my hair from falling forwards. haha.
I'm almost completely ready for Lakewood. Just gotta finish my dress. Shaun's got his clothes. It will be cool. I hope those Landskenecht people will be there. haha.
